From the moment you arrive, the new Sheraton Macao is an exciting place to be. It’s the world’s biggest Sheraton and is located right in the heart of the Cotai Strip. It’s located right on one of the Sands properties near the new Pacifica casino which has a Polynesian theme. Next door is City of Dreams and over the road is the world’s biggest casino- the Venetian.
Shuttle buses are waiting to take you to locations on the Cotai Strip from all the main ferry terminals- these are free and run by the casinos. To avoid a long walk with luggage, just get on the light green bus with the Sheraton logo on the side.
I had the Sheraton King Club room, so it was up to level 4 for the club lounge, but if you don’t have this the wait could be quite lengthy during peak times. The suggestion when checking in is to go off-peak.
Once inside my club suite, my thoughts were that the room was brand new, spacious and comfortable. It was well stocked with amenities. One thing missing at the door was the ‘do not disturb’ sign- not sure if this was an oversight or by design. Also the TV wasn’t working, but the reception team sent staff up immediately to adjust the loose cable.
The bathroom was pleasant, sleep quality great and the view acceptable. It would be hard to fault this hotel as the team was outstanding. With the addition of Sheraton Club, I can’t wait to return and enjoy this hotel again.
